So this older chap at my work tells me, upon learning that I ride, about a bike hes had in his garage for the past twelve years. He tells me his wife is nagging about it taking up space. So I offer to take it off his hands and I'll even throw in a dozen. He accepts my offer and I become the semi proud owner of a 1976 CB200.

After cleaning the bowls, the spark plugs, putting fresh gas in it and a new battery, it started up staight away with a huge cloud of brown smoke. After pissing around with the carbs alot and replaceing the clutch cable it runs...ok.

I started to do a proper clean up job on it but decided I really don't like chrome, or original looking CB200s for that matter and decided to go rat.

That is freaking wonderful mate.

You and Steam should start up a company together and I'll do some shaky filming and we'll sell it to the Discovery Channel and the Chopper craze will be over once and for all.

Steam Woven Rat Bikes Ltd.

I like it.

That shouldn't be a problem, I don't intend on cleaning it.

I used to have twin streetfighter head lights on it as well, but the alt wasn't up to the job of running them and charging the battery.

Sweet! It looks so so much better, it's good to have the before and after pictures.
Before it is just a shabby bike, after it is something interesting.
Did you also shorten the front mudguard, and change the grab-rail at the back? Good improvements.
You get the seal of approval!
