I see the strong interest, and participation, in motorcycle race meetings. Road and dirt. It is often the riders, that claim all the credit for their success. But seldom does much get said about the support "staff" that are there helping between races, sometimes during races. I read stories about the race... who passed who etc. Time for funny or embarrassing stories about the off track "goings on"
A few pics to stir memorys...

Team LG has had some good fun at Manfield two months ago, mostly thanks to a Mr J Mair... there are photos, but i've been warned that my ability to reproduce will be in jeopardy if they ever surface on the internet!

You are very right. I have marshelled at a number of events and they are under appreciated by the public. You don't get to see the race, you don't get to move and you have a really long day.
But you get to allow people to go out and have fun and sometimes you get a teeshirt!
The organisers are always very good and grateful and it is a fun thing to do. How many people can go to work on Monday and say they scooped a rider up or picked up a broken bike!

i was thinking about this on the way to work this morning, everyone loves the races the riders the crashes and what not but often its the people who make the event possible that get forgotten....
i love marshalling you get to be involved in the racing even if it is just watching riders go past at a fast rate of knots and days without serious bins is great, i do it because i love it and you do see some strange things (some cant be mentioned)
