You will be fine! Seriously it is a piece of cake.
I sat my "full', if there was such a thing back in the '70s. Rocked up and had to do some figure of eights in a carpark. The cop wanted to know why I stood on the pegs? I was confused, I told him I thought that was how you did them...LOL.
Dont fall off, do obvious head checks and dont forget to give way! :done:
Oh and most important. When you get to a STOP sign, put both your feet down to show you have stopped
Piece of pee!!

Hey M
Good luck with your restricted. Could be /Should be doing mine around the same date. I'm looking at taking it to the next level and going straight to my full instead. Being somewhat aged and infirm I can do that. LoL.

Definately the nerves are what gets ya. I reckon it'll be a piece of piss (not sure - haven't done it myself haha), as long as you practice, practice, practice, practice, and then practice... and more practice, you will be SWEEEEEET AS!
At least you get to use earpieces these days.

Yeah the nerves, thank god they go when you put helmet and gloves on,you'll be ok.Just make sure the tester sees you looking in the mirrors(both)regularly.
Probably have more chance that the bike fails,i.e all lights ok before getting there then one blows, happened to a mate, lucky he was early and shot to auto sparky next door to fix, after that his nerves were cool.

Sure you will do well, the test is easy, it's the nerves that are the problem, don't do what I did when I sat my full 2 weeks ago, I droped the bike:Oops: on the way in bending the foot brake lever to an unreachable spot, luckly had left home early giving me time to get it fixed:bash:., got there with 5mins to spare.
Make sure tocheck your bike over before leaving home, I had checked mine 2 day before, all OK. The day of my test my rego + holder were missing:angry2:, easily fixed if you know about it. Good luck
And yes I did pass despite the nerve & bad/good luck:scooter:

hehe, nice work miss. toldya it was easy. ;)
Whakatane license examiner is nice bloke too. One of those dry mock-gruff fake-bad-mood types, with a good collection of jokes to put you at ease. A good place to do your test.

Congrats! You knew it would be a doddle didn't you, really.... I remember being nervous before mine (and my full) but after after each I really wondered why I'd had the butterflies at all. Hindsight is always wonderful - keep that in mind when you start getting the flutters again before sitting your full. It too will be a walk in the park. Again, well done. I'm sure DB was a big help too.

Aww, thanks peeps! I was so stressy! LOL I lost a heap of sleep :wari:last night and the examiner made me ride all over town, including a hill start! I could hardly hear him through the ear piece and at times had to do the hand shrug movement so he had to repeat himself! But all good in the end.:sunny:
Hey, Number One, all the best for Friday! :niceone:

That is so awesome girl. I am due to do my restricted now too and seriously chicken about booking the test. Nerves suck. Cant exactly take anything to calm the suckers either. Wish me luck. Hopefully I will find the courage to book the test for next week. Apparantly Pukekohe has a new testing officer and SHE is really nice. (so I am told) having a hearing impairment doesnt help the nerves either. I am so worried I would not hear the instructions.

Hey, Blossom! Book it... Honestly, I stressed about nothing! I now realise I could sit my full and get it! All the best for when you go for it... Some rescue remedy may help for the nerves. Also, tell the instructor about your hearing problem and make sure you do a radio check BEFORE you get on the bike! Honestly, I struggled to hear the guy and sometimes was doing the hand shrug/shoulder lift hoping he could tell from behind me that I didn't understand his instructions and would he please repeat! Hahahaha... all good though, he said there was nothing wrong with my riding and I passed easily! WHEW!!!
All the best, girl...:calm:
