no plans except make it my ride to work bike--its actually in bloody good nick for its age.
and it was sitting unridden for about 18 months. Its owner went overseas
Ohh the missing sidecover was just me pulling it off to get to the battery

holey crap batman. I was sorting out the beast and drained the oil.
Its a 2.5l sump and Ive got a 4.0l drain pan. The bloody pan overflowed and ran all over the gargre floor. By my figuring there musta been at least 5.0l of oil in there--No wonder the airbox was kinda oily

well done frosty, have fun won't ya, isn't it strange how common it is for people to overfill their bikes with oil, when we first bought Caleb's bike it was grossly overfull, mind you it's better too much than too little imho.

Yes. Just before my speedo cable broke.

Actually my temp guage has been doing that since I last rode with you.

So maybe you just have that effect on bikes... ;)

But seriously, check the top of the speedo cable, just before it goes into the speedo. It's either dry as a nun's nasty or frayed, I reckon.
