Any of you know a red haired english guy - mid 40's - motorcyclist I was talking to in Remuera tonight.
Tell him I appologise for being so rude.
Co-pilot points out when we got home I completely misheard his comment - through helmet over bike noise.
He apparently didn't tell me 'Harleys are sh*t' at all. Nothing like it.
Big Dave is contrite. :-)

Sooo.....he said Harleys are shot? Harleys are snot? Harleys are fraught? Harleys are the pits?

'don't like them a bit' which was quite reasonable. Quiet helmets those Davidas.

Nah - I put the cranky pants on way too quickly.
I also thought I was wrong once but was mistaken.

And I was riding a Victory.

I see your point. I don't like Harleys myself but that's to do with the riding position more than anything else. They seem fine as far as fitness for purpose is concerned so can't really bag them for that.

I get tired of the constant "Maintenence cost" quips of Jap sprotbike riders when talking about Ducatis. If you don't like Ducatis then don't buy one but at least investigate the cost of running, repairing and maintaining before opening your gob with falsehoods and looking like a complete moron I always say

A normal 8000km service from a dealer on a Buell is $275 including parts.

Make a judgement on the 1125CR when you see it in the flesh.
The photos didn't do the R justice.

Nah Dave, ya did right, even the revised insult is still an insult ,ya don't walk up to a complete stranger and dis his wheels, thin end of the wedge dude, what's next? Walk up to someone and say I don't like your wife and kids one bit.

"Oh thanks for clarifying that mate, I wasn't sure if you liked em or not" :nono:

Perhaps......." I neither need nor want your opinion on my bike fella, now fark off ya piddle drip before ya find out how heavy these babies are when sat on your groinal region!"

:laugh:Man I'm sooo hard since I came off the prozac.

Nah Dave, ya did right,

Nice - but it's my gig to talk about bikes. Unprofessional.
Upper cut self administered.

Then he was insane, what's not to love about a Victory.

Wasn't the context.

Moving on, they are impressive bikes. I've had a burn on a Vegas, Hammer and have been cruising around on a Vision all week.

Classic! The old, misheard comment and took it the wrong way! Well done for open apology!
When my bro rang me to tell me about his firstborn, he told me that his wife had had a caesar. I said no worries bro, quite normal these days and minor op. He was in tears tho at the other end of the line as he had said seizure and damn near lost his wife!!! Geez I felt stink when I found that out!
