The Sprints is an event we hold in Carterton where we close off a road and do Standing and flying 1/4 mile runs.

It is an organised event and we have timing lights to get exact times and now a computer program to record times, speeds and put everyone in classes.

It's a great day out if you want to see what you and your machine can do. The fastest speed recorded so far is held by Malcom Breadmore on his 2006 Busa at 313.57 Kph and that's average speed over the 1/4 mile covering the distance in 4.6152 secs.

Have a look at this site http://www.cliffhanger.org.nz/hillclimb/hillclimb.htm
