Hi, I'm EobE, moving to Auckland from Scotland in a couple of months and keen to make some contacts out your way before I make the move. Not got a bike just now, but it's high on the list of priorities to buy out there (and the riding is one of the reasons I'm coming in the first place!)

What part of Scotland are you from? Nicer places than Aucks to live, hubby's from Glasgow, we moved to Invercargill from Auckland about a year ago now.

No sweets it will be fine! We have had one of the wettest winters I can remember up here in the winterless north of NZ, I dont mind rain as a rule, but combine it with cold wind and leaking pants it is the pits...LOL

Make sure you give me a heads up when you land in Godzone, I live about an hour north of Auckland and would love to meet you. I am a 50/50 blend Canadian/Scot, terrible combination some will be quick to assure you :lol:
