Hi All

Would a kind soul out there please be able to lend my now fiancee some riding gear, so that she may test her nerve and commitment as a pillion?

She currently has a leather jacket (bought only for pose value but actually a great jacket), which she wears on the bike at up to 50kph around the North Shore. She's nervous about going faster and to be honest, I won't take her any faster without decent trousers and boots.

Before throwing money at problem, it would be great to borrow some gear to do a couple of trial runs. She is size 14, long legged (about 5'8") and I think size 9 NZ/size 7 UK feet.

Any assistance gratefully received.

Can't help with gear.. too far away sorry, but the way YOU ride at speeds above 50k will be the real test of her nerve and commitment.

Don't show off, keep it smooth, no sudden braking or acceleration. Make sure she has something solid to hang on to.

Make sure she understands what you want her to do, which way to lean, and have a clear set of agreed signals for "slow down" "speed up" "it's all good".

If she enjoys it she will get on again, if you frighten the bejeezuz out of her you will be riding alone...(and they may not be all you get to do alone)

Can't help with the boots, but my cordura pants might fit? Cordura Jacket available if needed (might be a bit large though?).

Edit: Shit. I'd better gonna go and wash it. Winter has been wet... and dirty.:niceone::chase::laugh:
