Hey there! Just wondering whether there are any female beginner riders that want to ride at Woodhill during the week, and of course on the weekend. I've been riding for about 8 months and it would be fun to ride with people at my level!

Hello JT! - and welcome to the swamp..
Great to see a newby being proactive, zip over to biker angels threads and see who you pick up there, click on my link and check out my trailskills training days and while you are there, in the bottom right hand corner you will find 'bits about bikes'- click on that for a growing repository of useful links!
See you out there some day- Cave Weta

Hey just come out to Thunder this Sunday with us. There's riders of all levels (we talk big but some of us are old and slow) and with 8 months under the belt you'd get around the b track there ok! Some of the guys might be bringing there wives and girlfriends that ride! you could post on this thread and ask http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/showthread.php?t=81430. If they don't we will look after you. A lot of us haven't actually met so we are all in the same boat!

But I understand your question and desire to find a riding buddy for riding.
I've heard Wednesday is by default ladies day at the sandpit so you might just have to go and socialise. Ktm boy would be able to fill you in. He'll probably post but if he doesn't PM (private message)him.

Hey there you guys! Thanks for the help! Thunder sounds a bit daunting, but will definitely take your advice!

I'm a newbie girl rider:) Went for my first ride (outside of going in circles in a small field) last weekend.
You might see me around. I'll be the one hopelessly digging their little yellow dr-z out of the sand after dropping it. Again, and again and again... :stupid:

My wife has just started to ride, she's not commin out this weekend but keep and eye on this forum and say where you are going at weekends so you can meet like minded people.

By the way if you can ride woodhill, you'd find thunder fine if it's not wet.

I agree with cheese - thunder will be good (unless really wet and slippery) my mates 5 yr old goes around the B track. Its a really good all round track where you can pick up and practice many different skills - and if anywhere looks too daunting - there are a few shortcuts to base here and there. There is also a kids paddock. If you've ridden in the sandpit - then you'll be sweet.Sounds like theres a bunch of good people meeting up there this weekend who can all share a wealth of experience with you. Good on ya for having a go.Repetition is the mother of succes.
