Nice to find a Kiwi forum! I've just moved here from the UK and im buying a k100LT to do some touring!

HI Andy not seen a flying brick for a while thought they where exstinct lol, How was the emigration thing for you ? im looking to do the same thing so any hints tips etc would be more than welcome :msn-wink:

Giday cobber... pleanty of touring to be done in and out of Chch, its comming up rally season if thats the shit ya into, over summer we ride most weekends even if it just to the local bikers pub 'the wheatsheaf'

Where are you living in Chch as I would be realy interested to know what you think of it down there as I am a Brit that may be heading that way soonish.

we dont need anymore blardy poms in the south island, we winge enough about the cold as it is... besides cant have you lot destroying our peopless quite back country roads, the south Islands roads and people rock.

Other than that the S.I. folks are a good bunch, and they have some of the best bike roads on the planet.

I haven't seen many of the old bricks going about but I did see a rat at the mall not long ago. If you want some help with your emigration then please joing www.emigratenz.co.nz/forum great bunch on there and my handle is AndyR.

Thats great! be fantastic to get into biking regularly again after time off.

Welcome AndyR and the South Island proves that god does indeed ride a motorcycle.If you want a decent full days ride to test out the brick ride over Arthur's Pass to the Wet Coast ,up THE COAST ROAD (biker heaven) and back across The Lewis Pass.Absolute magic (as long as it's not snowing)

Welcome to the nuthouse. Keep an eye out for the local rides & just bowl on up & say hi.
Don't think you'll get too homesick here as there plenty off Uk riding hoons about the place. You'll find a few working in some of the local bike shops too

I have been a bit slow lately on the forums so welcome, as to the local bunch we are nearly back into the Wednesday night rides which I have seen you have found already, if you want to come along this Wednesday we will me be meeting for the maintenance evening at Gloucester Motor company cnr Gloucester & Fitzgerald at around 1800 (6pm), feel free to join us.

The round trip over arthurs pass, up the west coast, thru the buller gorge, into the lewis pass and then finally back down the motorway to Chch is a fantastic day trip. (All day)
