Motorists are reporting a spill somewhere between the summit and half way down the Hutt side.

Several cars have spun out ... it'll be a bike-eater. Please take care

Reports are that it starts on the Featherston side but Fulton H should be on site now starting to clean it up. You can check this one out on the AA highway info.

Makes me want to do a 'Kendog' and go sit up there with a camera one (fine, sunny & warm) day and see if I can pot some of these bastards. His quest was of course far more noble, he was shooting knee-downs of all the sunday riders.

Imagine how bad it was this morning if cars were spinning ... I'm just so thankful that no bikes came to grief (that we know of anyway)

I almost had an opsy on the hill about 3 years ago due to a truck dropping oil from a drum on the back of a truck, hit the oil and by sheer luck stayed upright, sprained a knee badly in the process but was gratful that was the worst of it.
