Hi there,
Looking for some straight brackets and footpegs for an NC30 or alternatively an aftermarket rearset assembly.
Cheers.

Tyga makes aftermarket ones. I have them on my bike. They are pretty expensive though, but they can take quite a bashing.

Other than second hand original ones i dont think you are going to find anything that is "cheap"

can you also raise them a touch to stop them scraping on the floor?
whats a good price to get some cut out of (i assume) 10mm alloy?

you can raise or shoten them as you want. i think the set i have 1 inch back and slightly higher . if all shits scaping the floor you need to sort out your rear shock.
The ones on my bike are sorta 3 piece units cut outta 10mm alum. they look good i reckon. to get them machined (CNC) would be expensive, prob not much cheaper than buying them, but you never know i may be wrong. if youve got access to a mill or a friend who works in a machine shop would make it worth it. ive always thought about making some up to try and sell but in the end they would still end up being a couple a hundred andnot nearly as nice as the 600 buck ones. but thats what you get for less than half the price.
The real advantage in making your own is its easy to replace bits you break when you bin it.

i could but if its for a road bike youll get a much nicer set online for a reasonable price. but if you still struggling to find one in a week or two let us know and ill see what i can do. Uni a bit full on to do anything at the moment.

might wanna see what f1 engineering offer. ive heard they do nice rearsets for a resonable price. if your just after the bog stock standard rear set couldn't be too hard to find.

I bought a set off ebay.
I paid $180USD and about $25USD for shipping for these (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Honda-Vfr400-Nc30-Rvf400-Nc35-Adj-Rearsets-Rear-sets_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1713Q2em153Q2el126 2QQcategoryZ35580QQihZ005QQitemZ150151167193) . No GST as under the limit so when I got them here landed they were about $250NZD.
Since then the NZD vs the USD rate has tanked, and more importantly the Thai Baht rate vs the USD has also shifted. So instead of the $USD180 I paid, the same thing is now $USD285.. Add the shipping and figure the exchange rate = bloody hell.
If you want fruity, go for the F1 Eng ones. nice kit, great quality good guy and locally made.
Doesnt show availability of NC30 ones though

Beware second hand: they will more than likely be rooted.

yea 2nd hand ones shouldn't be rooted but oftne have cracks or repairs. thats a good price for full rear sets though, even at 250-300bucks.

thanks for that. those ebay ones are expensive. i wonder how much the rearsets are for the rapidartnz site. any idea?
lostinflyz- in fact, the stock ones are the hardest to find...
there are some on trademe - racing ones for 400 bucks... still if i could get cheaper that'd be great.

another way to look at it:
How likely is it that the brackets themselves are bent? If these are the kind of metal that likes to break and not bend then i could just buy some pegs on their own from econohonda but that will be no good if the brackets are bent... I can't seem to tell if they are bent.
