Hi, I've found a part (seat) for my Suzuki but - its in the USA and the seller only ships to USA. Does anyone here have an aquaintance in the US who this could be sent to, and who could then send it on to me?
All costs etc payable by me of course, and a commission/fee if required.
RSVP as the auction closes in a few days.
Thanks

There are forwarding companies that will do this for you (for a small fee). Google is your friend

Like (http://cgi.ebay.com/INTERNATIONAL-DOMESTIC-MAIL-PARCEL-FORWARDING_W0QQitemZ150291786257QQcmdZViewItem?has h=item150291786257&_trkparms=72%3A1163%7C39%3A1%7C66%3A2%7C65%3A12%7C 240%3A1318&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14) or (http://www.usa2me.com/site/pgeMailManager.aspx)

Lots of others.

Have you asked seller if he will send down under ?

I have bought quite a few parts over the years which have stated USA only but the seller has obliged.

the companies that pass it on are quite good. I know a lot of people that use them to ship goods over.

That's awesome! I've always gone for the auctions that ship worldwide in the past which always seems to cost a bit more (especially with rc stuff)

I'll be using more of these guys from now on!

i allways just ask if they would mind sending down most people dont as its still just a trip to the postie as long as your paying ive never had a problem.

I've bought stuff in the US from all sorts of sources, including eBay. I have friends in various parts of the US who will then ship it on to me. Generally, the sellers who say they will sell/ship "to only the lower 48" (i.e., continental USA), won't ship anywhere else, including Canadia, Alaska and Hawaii.
I had one seller who wouldn't sell to me, even using PayPal and a US address, because I was in Noo Zilund. Even logic didn't work - he'd "been burned once" by someone with an overseas address, and that was that. I had to get a friend in Florida to do the bidding for me then ship it on to me, and I PayPal'd him for the auction, postage, and bank fees. Still saved me a couple of hundred shekeldollars.
I also had one guy agree to sell to me, then he concocted some bullshit reason to pull out of the deal, said "I hadn't heard from you so I sold it to someone else". I'd actually emailed / PM'd him repeatedly over several days, but he got cold feet and resorted to lying, rather than admit he was a dick.

Generally they state only ship inside of the USA cause they're sick of dealing with dodgy foreigners. If you email them during the auction, normally they're amicable enough about sending to NZ. US Postal is really cheap and not tooo slow.

Thanks all - this seller is pretty adamant about not shipping outside the US.
Hoever I'll try those forwarders - thanks a lot
