Eeep - no number plate

Well, i have been having a good time on my new bike, taking it slow and learning how it corners, all going good.

On the way to a mates place tonight there was a highway patrol car screaming along so i quickly dropped out of the way and he went on, not even looking at me on my GREEN zx6r

When i got to my mates place i realized that my number plate was gone and with it my rego and my wof, the bolts where still there and so were the nuts and part of the number plates that had been "slightly" tightened on.

So i called the cops and said, "I have lost my number plate"
:Police: no worries, whats your details and someone will call you back.

Now i am worried, cause technically the zx6rr is slightly bigger than a 250cc AND cause i am buggered if i know how to get a new plate...

Unless you have found the plate, go to AA/On Road/VTNZ, I think they all have the facility for plates, should cost you around $9 for a new plate (unless its a personalised plate?) as you can't have one re-printed.

Can't find the info on ltsa.govt.nz, but I know I have seen it before. You will need the wof and rego re-issued as well.

Nah, couldn't find it, i don't know how long its been gone for :s

It's not illegal to own a bike larger than 250cc, just don't ride it if the police shows up (not that I don't think police has anything to do with number plates anyway, that's what LTSA is for).

yeah its common on alot of big cc vtwins to go thru plates, father in laws vn1500 had to get a new plate once a year due to old one braking, or falling off.

like others said go to AA/vtnz etc, full in a form with lost plate, pay a small fee and what you know, the biggest issue is getting a wof issued, you can go to place you got the wof and get a new reissue one, or could just get a new wof

Alrighty, just went and got a new plate.. the other one was much cooler but hey who cares :)

they printed the rego again, all up, new plate and rego $8.80 - i know the guys who gave the bike its warrant so i am pretty sure they will be able to write me a new one for nuthin.

I think it was just on too tight and the vibration got the best of it, going to put some softer washers behind hard washers this time, should be sweet.
