Best piece of advice I have read on KB??

"Look where you want to go, not at the hazard you want to avoid!"

Works a treat, specially in one of my local roundabouts (Hamilton is known as "roundabout city") which has a metal manhole (personhole?) cover right in the middle of it. Very slippery when wet and you always hit it when well canted over.....I have found that if I look at it, it jumps out to get me every time. But if I look at the route inside of it, then that's where I go.......sage advice indeed.

Yep me too, made a real difference to my confidence.

I read somewhere recently that this is also referred to as "riding to the vanishing point". In other words, you look ahead at where the road disappears and the bike will follow. Not quite sure how that avoids crossing the centre-line but oh well.... :D
