1991 Cbr400 NC29 Lost key.

I have lost the key to my cbr. I have no spare key to get another one cut :( What are my options?

Fit a swipe card ignition :D. Shouldn't have much trouble. Ignition on these bikes just involves connecting some wires together I think, no fancy transponder etc etc.

You're also quite free to even obtain a ignition barrel + key from a wrecker and fit it. And you won't be able to the fuel tank up either, unless you unscrewed the whole lock thing. Off to the wreckers methinks.

Haha good point with the whole refueling, I hadn't thought to think that far ahead yet :S

You should be able to take your ignition to a lock smith so they can cut you a new key using that.
Shouldnt be a biggy.

I guess I'm gonna have to dismantle my scooter. My 3 year old son has removed the key and won't tell us where he put it.

It's 1990 bike bought very second hand with only one key.
