View Full Version : Fecking bottom-dwelling SCUM
paturoa

Why is the planet full of scum not fit for anything.
Some arsehole broke into Chateau paturoa today and uplifted our near new 47" LCD TV and one of the kid's MP3 players.
But nothing else. Go figure, left the bikes, cars, keys, cameras, computers, et al. Even left the remote for the control for the TV sitting on the couch less than a meter fdrom the TV?????
I suspect our dog was making quite a fuss at the time as it isn't too fond of strangers at the best of times. The bucket of puss had to get onto the roof and break in an upstairs window to avoid the dog patrol.
The scum has left a bunch of finger prints on the window that said peice of shit broke into so the rozzas are turning up tomorrow to uplift some prints.
What eats my tits is obviously this shite hole has gone off to organise a bigger truck for next time (sometime in the next 4 weeks?)
Went around and told the neighbours nobody saw anything but one rememberred a few weeks back being cold called by somesome offerring to do gardening work, showed a business card but wouldn't leave it when asked. When I related this to Mrs P, she and a couple of the kids go "Yeah he was here too" .......
I think I might do a little pissing into the wind by writing to my local MP candidates and ask for their law and order policies.
Cops have been really good so far. I was expecting to be told to go and make a complaint at the local, but have had calls etc already, must be an election on the horizon?

Dont you hate people that want what you have and have worked for, hang the bastards if they get caught, it may not deter others but will sure as hell ensure they dont reoffend.

Aw that sucks man. Any way you can let the dog loose all over the house, or not a chance? Even just for a few weeks, just to deter the bastard if he considers a return?
Another idea is to get some security stickers. Even if you don't have an alarm, the stickers that say there are alarms in the house really do scare the cunts off...

Pissing into the wind at least will give you a nice warm feeling.......
Go for it ....
Things will only ever change if you actualy try to make them change...
Being burgled is like being violated....
You may be onto something with the gardening thing....
Make noise, lots of it.

keep an eye on trade me for 47" LCD's without a remote.
You will be shocked how many people find their 'stuff' on trademe.
Oh - then go around and set fire to the bastards cat.

Life sucks mate.
The cops will look keen, but there's not a lot they can do. Even if they catch the guy it won't stop him coming back.
Next you have to deal with the insurance company. I'm with AMI and when the same happened to us earlier this year it felt like we were getting robbed all over again.

OK - for the slow of thinking. [edit red repping slow thinking]
It was so far from a action that a normal person would even consider contemplating that I assumed that even the slower readers here on KB would get that it was a bit of dark humour / an obvious joke - I don't actually recommend going around and setting fire to someones cat.
I also recommend that you don't take everything you read literally.

Don't retract your statement - it's a perfectly reasonable thing to advocate.
Cats suck.

Whilst we're on the topic... neighbours dog bark too much? A smashed up DB stubbie, mixed with some mince, rolled into balls, and then tossed over the fence normally sorts that out.

Sorry to hear your grief man.
I worked security back in London. We used to advise people to do the security sticker in the window thing. These guys are lazy, if they think there is an alarm, they will go somewhere else. Doesnt help to catch them but it makes it harder for them.
An empty alarm box or dummy CCTV camera is a good buy, pretty cheap on Trademe or you can even make one, they just look a bit ugly on the house.
Also, keep a big dirty pair of gumboots at the back door and the front door, keeps them guessing if there is anyone at home and agin the lazy bastards will bugger off.
Some bastard assaulted my old mum in London years ago as well as trying to rob the place. A few phone calls to some bad types made sure the prick was going to have trouble feeding himself in the future. Trouble is, they put you away for that kind of stuff.
Take care, ride safe and eat pies

Sorry to hear this paturoa! We have been burgled and it is the worst feeling in the world. Yes they cold call to see if anyone is at home, if there is, a story like your gardiner comes out, or even directions to some where. Next time they call and there is no reply they are in like flynn! Cunce!!!
We got burgled in the night while we were asleep in bed! Now that really puts the shits up you
The SOCO (Scene of crime officer) that came a dusted our place for prints said they come back! They will come during the day while you are at work and clean you out! Her advice was to make visible security updates to the house, they would check them and leave if it looked too hard! I was petrified and would not leave the house until those updates had been done.
I even went as far as to put the packaging for the locking flushbolts and security stays we fitted to the windows in the windows facing out so the scum would see them.
I really feel for you guys, it is the worst feeling in the world knowing someone has been in your house.

gee's two story and noone looked at what your dog was going nuts about... sounds like your dog barks alot if noone took notice..bummer dude.. and to get in is easy leaving should have been harder... no dead locks on doors..?.and yea your house you should nearly insure that a window has to be broken for any entry.. can't rely on height been a stopper..way the times are.. lucky that your place wasn't trashed..as mom said..yes they can enter even if you're asleep..

ta for the ideas peeps.
Rozzas did well, turned up this morning and did thier best to get a finger print but only got smudged ones that she said wouldn't be good enough. Ah well...
I was tempted to ask her if the finger print dust stuff she was using was the same as they used on their doughnuts, but thought the better of it.
I've put some extra deadbolts on the window, though it will probably mean that they will have to do more damage next time to get in and the repairs will just cost me more ?
I found some neat free software on the web, after the rozzas went to finger print some doughnuts. Basically it converts my web cam to a motion detector. It is still detecting motion when there isn't any but I think that was some extra software from the camera interferring when adjusting for the brightness as the clouds go by.
Anyway, when it detects motion, it starts recording video to the hard disk and at the same time sends frame grabs to an email SMTP address. It is pretty quick too, to both detect motion and send the frame grabs over the intermernetty thing.
I'm also looking at a "propper" alarm system to go with this and extend the cctv option somewhat. There are several remote controllable options and some other software that appears to be able to send IM and concurrently email frame grabs.
Oh, and we will have to go shopping to find anther telly this weekend.
EDIT 1: and i've also got a complete copy of all of our digital photos stored off site as well.
EDIT 2: and I got a call from some BMW owner today offerrring to sell me a hot telly...
EDIT 3: beefed up the bike security as well

Wouldn't it be nice to be able to defend our properties properly. Criminals have too many rights and the victims get so little for their heartache and trouble.
What would be wrong with a few strategically placed claymores? Would take care of the possums too..... ;)

My parents place just got ripped off not long ago.. bigscreen LCD gone, smaller lcd gone, fancy leadlight windows on entertainment centre smashed and doors ripped off etc. antique jewellery box gone, which ironically contained an antinque handerkcheif and some cheap nasty jewellery. Good stuff was in the tatty looking jeweelry box and got left behind, but mum is slutted because the box and hanky were over a 100 years old, and will have just been dumped. All done in under 10 minutes, in the middle of the day whilst my sister had popped out for 2 hours.
I remember how I felt the two times we got burgaled when I lived at home, the most recent one is 15+ years ago and I STILL have homicidal feelings over it. It's just a horrible invasion of your space.
I say hangings too good for the cunts, any crime where someone invades your property and privacy, even "just a burglary" should be a death sentence crime imho. Or at least chop their fucking hands off.

First line so far has been converting the PC into a motion detector CCTV.
http://www.download.com/CyeWeb-One-Channel/3000-2348_4-10563730.html?cdlPid=10872245
I leave for work early, so I started it before I left, and got to see when the family got up and what they did, from my desk at work today. This was the app emailing frame grabs when motion was detected.
Looks promising - tonight I will work out how I can remote onto the PC to view the video in real time.
I asked a few random people around work today and there wasn't a single person who had not had been the victim of theft. Thats 100%
I think I might do a KB survey on the topic as I haven't tried that before.

Well go figure .... Harold reports that Waitakere has the highest burgulary rate in all unzud
.... had the highest ratio of burglaries per person in the first half of last year - 1407, or one for every 35 residents.
http://www.nzherald.co.nz/nz/news/article.cfm?c_id=1&objectid=10552373
It didn't say per household!!! says per person!!!
....and the rozzer goes on to say about this
Waitakere burglary squad manager Sergeant John Allen was surprised by the figures. He said the number of break-ins was 10 per cent below police predictions, based on figures from previous years - "quite an achievement in anyone's world".
Now, assuming that Harold is selectively quoting him and prolly out of context, thats still pretty piss poor.
ALSO
Law and order is a responsibility of our Government .... What sort of jouranlism is this??? Where are the responses from the gubbermint?
aaraarrrrrggggghhhhh
ALSO
The scum in question are only doing this to sell it. To who - who is buying all of the stolen stuff?????

A free program you might be interested in (if you are still using the webcam motion sensor that is, or , even if your not) is LogMeIn (https://secure.logmein.com/home.asp?hp=5)
Very handy to remotely connect to another PC.

You can link the vast majority of property crime to drugs so look no further than your local drug baron or his minions.

I suppose hoping for sane changes to prohibition policies is pointless.
Imagine how much less work there'd be for yous fullas if certain substances were obtainable by addicts on prescription at reasonable cost.
The harm to society from organised crime's control of prices and distribution is far greater than anything people actually do when they're off their faces.
Still substantial in the latter case, of course (alcohol being the prime example) but it's just more manageable. And results in much less property crime.

Also if they took the time to read the thread they would have seen I didnt actually mean it.
