2007 GSXR1000K7 Superbike
Not necessarily for sale, we’re gauging interest at this stage.
Bike was purchased as an ex demo model with 8000km approximately on the clock. Registration is on hold and all road gear is in good condition.
Engine freshened by Ray Clee November 2007.
Work includes:
*Yoshimura race loom and Em-Pro tuning. This also includes the software and USB cable for tuning trackside via lap-top.
*Yoshimura 4 into 1 race exhaust
*Yoshimura cams, valves, springs and head gasket.
*Yoshimura adjustable race clutch.
*Aftermarket air filter.
Modifications to date gave this a 21hp gain at the rear wrap on Ray’s Factory Pro dyno from stock. The fueling is perfect and the bike amazingly easy to ride. It’s tuned with the three changeable ignition sub maps from factory, then a further two main map settings. Combining the different settings gives a total of 6 maps available while riding. The clutch is adjustable from a stock slip setting down to 66% of the factory setting for back torque required before it disengages. This transforms the stability of the bike under very hard braking
In regards to chasis modifications, we’ve worked very closely with Robert Taylor to continually develop the bike and as it sits it currently has the following.
*Eccentric swingarm pivots to flatten the swing arm angle, reducing anti-squat under acceleration
*Ohlins TTX-36 rear shock, speced currently for the Dunlop N-Tecs
*Ohlins front cartridge kit, springs and top caps
*Ohlins steering damper
Over the past 8 months we’ve managed to develop this into an extremely precise handling bike. In recent testing on new tyres at Manfeild we lapped in the high 68s on a very cold track.
The bike is also fitted with Woodcraft adjustable rearsets, Woodcraft crash protectors, Lightech quick release, keyless gas cap, Vortex clip-ons, Vortex carbon fibre instrument mount and fairing brace. Factory-Pro alternator cover with crash protector.
Freshly painted replica Yoshimura race fairings in white.
This is an awesome chance for someone to get a highly competitive privateer machine with little use that’s going to remain competitive for at least another twelve months.
Expressions of interest should be emailed to me at j.mair @ sdv “dot” co.nz
I'd buy it myself but I'm broke.
