The company making it went bust two years ago.

The Norton name has been licensed by the US owners to a 39 year-old English chap who is planning to put Brian Crighton's latest Norton Rotary racer design into production as the flagship sportsbike of a range that he hopes will rival Triumph one day.

Thats a bloody shame that is ! Don't know if i'd be into a rotex but will keep the fingers crossed for them ! Be nice to see him get up and rival Triumph !

Not "rotex", rotary.

They're going to turn this:

in to a Supersport racer and a road bike. The equivalency rule no longer applies because specific outputs for the 600cc race bikes now match what this 588cc rotary engine did 15 years ago.

AMCN 5th August issue(currently a freebie with the latest NZ Motorcycle Trader) has a double feature on the Norton Rotary, with Cathcart riding it and an interview with Stuart Garner, owner of Spondon and the money behind the latest attempt to bring the brand back

Stuart Garner, that's the bloke. They were looking at releasing the NRV as a Spondon branded motorcycle, but Mr Garner managed to wring a license out of the current Norton brand owners. Norton has international recognition where Spondon doesn't.
