I bought a 1985 750 Suzuki Intruder a few years ago it had a personalised plate BNOW dont know what it meant but did know it was easy to remember if you did something to piss a cage driver off.

My brother had a catamaran a year or two ago and it was called 'Double Intruder ' .....evidently named after one of his wife's battery powered 'friends' ............

Exactly. There is bugger all point obtaining one if you plan on fracturing the odd law or two from time to time.

Heh! Reminds me of this time I was following a car with a very distinctive personalised plate and out of the rear window is thrown all this garbage! The woman driver wasn't too impressed when I called her by her name and pointed out that with her name emblazoned on the plate, she might want to re-educate her passengers about not littering the countryside with large amounts of rubbish!!

My bike doesn't have personalised plates but the letters are "YUQ" which I think is quite appropriate on a commuter bike :) I do like to pronounce it as "why-you-queue" rather than "YUK"

Was looking into getting one, but these things put me off

- Easier identification of your bike
- Cost (Nearly $700 IIRC)

Yeah for that kind of money i would want a few more than 5 characters, a novel would be about the right length

That plate used to be on a purple maxima. The last time I saw that car it was getting it's interior ripped out of it by the cops at the pakuranga plaza car park.

There is a dude down the road from me with teh bike plate YUM8U:niceone:

I got SHFTY, cos of me job, not my nature.:devil2:

I is a shift engineer.

Re the price. $700 is a bit of coin, but it was a "getting separated" present to myself, so i figured I deserved it.

Oh yeah, I think the plod is clever enough to memorise a sequence of 5 or 6 numbers/letters, so I'm not really too fussed about it being any easier to get pinged.
