Looks pretty sweet to me. Like a mini 10R but better! Looks like it has gone on a radical diet. :niceone:

Cool, they made the exhaust even more hideous than last years ZX10R.

Why did they move the exhaust from under the seat in the 1st place? Too hard to modify?

The Japs have of late done an excellent job at styling pig ugly bikes

Looks like the year of the fucking awful exhaust. First the gixxer, now kwaka and Aprilia. Maybe Hondas aren't gay after all.

Interesting move for the big green to dump the undertail exhaust. Aftermarket can should make it scream.

More power and less weight is exactly what the 6R needs. Going to be a very interesting 2009 supersport shootout.

The 650r is looking like a nice bike for stuff all cash too.

Going to be soooooooo many cool bikes choose from (and test ride) in every style come upgrade time :devil2:

I have to disagree with this... I'm sick of them trying to make it a kilo lighter every year. The life of the bike is suffering, with weaker and weaker parts, all to make it a kilo or two lighter.

Next bike for me will be 10-20kg heavier, more fun AND handle better...

Gonna have to disagree on that one, the 09 ER6F looks god-awful. Which pisses me off because I was considering a trade in for my '08. It now just looks like a supersports bike when that isn't what it is, the front looks like a mashed up zx-14 almost. The motogp esque gauge was nice to begin with, but I prefer analogue. The only thing that's better is the screen and the tail lights.

Now the '09 ER6N, THAT is sex on wheels. And so, so tempting.

Oh yeah and the ZX6R is pretty nice too :P I still prefer the undertail exhausts though!

Fair point. I'd probably sacrifice the supposed 10kg to get the 09 CBR's ABS if it's actually a good sport system (and can be disabled for trackdays) because I commute on my bike.

It's not all about weight and power but the ZX-6R was starting to lag behind the others by a fair bit. This model should even it up nicely.

gotta make a start somewhere... Why bother saving 10kg on the bike, when I can drop 25kg myself aye?

Long time no see... finished writing bikes off? :Pokey:

Its green so it will be the shit! 99% of us cant ride any 600 to its potential so it doesnt matter a shit if a bike is apparently down on power or a bit heavy just ride it, go green!

Underseat exhausts heat up the rear shock a bit much apparently...

Undertail pipes are gone to save and lower the weight. Expect more of this. 2010 R1 I predict will get under engine pipes. And ducati ...... well who knows the Italians are often style first .......

Personally I like undertails ................ but then I own a Hornet

Don't think that's entirely true. The 07 CBR600RR with undertail was much lighter than the R6 and GSX-R600 which both had stubbies.

I think it's more about managing the emissions regulations and what's in fashion.
