well I was riding home from work today and decided to put my fairly new kawa ninja 250 09 through its paces on a tight twisty road. its a quiet road. not many uses. anyway I get it up to about 130Kph on a little straight and low and behold FUCK cop he flashes his lights and im thinking shit i hope my license wont be confiscated for too long. but he didnt follow me at all. I just carried on at a more reasonable speed and went home. the area that I was a 50Kph zone too. I wont do that again.

It's because you're bike looked like it could have gone faster than he could. Pure and simple.

I haven't had a cop flash his lights at me since 1990 just south of Hunterville. Hows that for a memory!
I've had them brake, then go, "fuckit!" and carry on, but not a lot of head light flashing.

I say I wont but I know I wil :banana:l. I went to palmy north from wanganui yesterday(about an hour in the car) I followed a few big bikes like a honda firestorm 1000 an such. on the way back a GSX of some size, proli about a 600 pasted me at about 200kph, I thought shit that must be fun il give it a go. So i pinned it for about 10mins trying to catch him if he slowed down, goin about 160kph the whole way, I finally caught him but he must have seen me in his mirrors and fucked off again, I gave up and cruised back home at about 130-140 and sometimes 170 down hills. took about 40mins.

goshdarnit...... I had a mufti cop do a U-turn and chase me...... apperently I was doing "65" in a 50 zone although........ he didnt radar gun me or pace me (thought about contesting it but..... actually, I was . $80 fine and 20 demerit points. :crybaby: oh well..... those are the brakes I spose. But seriously,.... that is a very excessive speed in 50 k zone.! Shit can go wrong VERY quickly in that kind of situation. Please slow down.

Someone was definately looking out for you today for that cop not doing a u turn and pinning you for that many k's over the speed limit. Just remember next time you may not be so lucky and you need to pick the right spots to travel at that speed. I always find the back road are the best places to give your bike a bit of stick.

Perhaps they think the SV wont go any faster than 10 km's over the posted limit... :blank:

Can't be to careful on the back roads, I was out Bankier road today, back of Hamilton and there was a cop in the middle of nowhere hiding nicely behind a tree at the end of a 2 km piece of straight road, lucky I was only cruising as still running my bike in.Gave him a bit of a wave, he was smiling, probably never seen a bike going so slow on a straight bit of road by the sounds of it. Can't afford to lose my license as I commute ever day.

My mate and me were riding up the Pig Route to Alexandra about 12 years ago and stopped for a smoke on the road shoulder
about 2 mins later a MOT Black & White :Police: comes screaming up and says "got ya"
"my mate laughed and said shit I didn't even know you were chasing us"
Apparently he had spotted us fly past and done a u-turn to catch us....
We forgot to say we were doing about 200 kms when we passed him...
Just told us to keep it 100 boys !!!
Ah the good old days before speed cameras and radar detectors !!!!!!

yea I always look out for cops, I didnt see this one because he came round a blind corner at the end of the straight and it was a mufti. Coming back fro mpalm yesterday I was really surprized I didnt see one. its was of the most highyly patrolled peices of road Ive seen, but I thought hey if theres cop out there they are going to get the guy on the GSX first. cant wait till I get my dream bike- A GSX r750, :woohoo: IL be able to go really fast then. But I do choose where to hoon kinda carefully. yesterday was just a binge so to speak:2thumbsup

Funny that because most of the shit that happens on the road, will happen when you least expect it. If only cars choose to not stop at stop signs and give ways on deserted roads etc. Mind you, i reckon your a troll, a big ugl troll, that loves under a bridge. You say a twisty road you were riding, well in a lot fifty zones if you go 130 they will become twisty.

Holy crap 80kmh over the limit! That's risky business man. I have to agree that cops almost never flash anymore, they just pull up. I think they only flash when it's unlikely they will find a place to pull a u'y although there was one time I came up over a crest and there was a cop right there with lights flashing and all I saw was this finger pointing RIGHT at me haha he had obviously been gunning me before I got over the hill - I didn't get fined though so that was all good

I've had a few tickets over the years, when the only two people on the road...were the cop and me. I still exceed the posted limit often myself, but pick time and place carefully(If I get caught, no excuses given). Busy, well patroled, main highways are not the best places. The odds of getting caught are pretty good. Maybe a radar detector might be a good buy...???
