Nah... I traded the M109R in..... the garage already has two cars and all my other man-toys in it (and beer fridge of course). Not really enough room for another bike mate.

Yeah well, being a "born-again" Aucklander I had to go for a "Jaffa" coloured bike!

Although Kaukapakapa ain't "Auckland" really....... is it?

the only one I haven't owned was the 600 - but it was way too under powered for me when I borrowed one for a day to hoon about on.

Maybe its because I ate all the pies?

Crack me up. That's quite a shift from a 109 in all but the muscle-bike aspect. Have fun man.

They just pepper spray or taser me instead.... I kinda like it.

Got pepper sprayed once by my partner as I tackled a big fella during a domestic - it had absolutely no effect on me for some reason.

Maybe the shrink was right... I AM mad?!

More south west given the harbour is just over the hill. Its a lovely spot - I could never live in suburbia again. Space, peace and quiet.... baaaaaaa!

Just the distant sound of HP chasing bikers doing runners down SH16....

Mate.... I thought I was bumbling along the motorway only to see it was climbing over 120km/h.

I think I'd have to go +140km/h on the Hayabusa to have the same "feeling" of wind pressure/speed sensation that 110km/h did on the M109R. Weird, but thats how it is.

Ack Shirley, while I must congratulate Mr Toaster on his shiny new beast, and I can admire it (and envy him) for what it is, I don't reckon it.
Not the prettiest bike in the world, by any stretch of the imagination.
Perhaps when the paint dries...?

With all respect I'd like to know why?

I watched with interest the 109 build and you'd made yourself a seriously nice, very quick power cruiser.

Finished it and traded it on the Bussa.

Nothing wrong with the Bussa, just interested.

I guess, after a while, you just start to get a hankering to remind yourself what it's like to be able to stop, and go around corners.

And dodge were-sheep.

I think a fair bit of the decision to change was to break a negative association I had in my mind after the crash and felt it was a good time before I get older to go back and enjoy sportsbikes while I still can.

I have also been in a position to update my bikes regularly and enjoy having a crack at something new. So its all about having a bit of fun and getting variety.
