Yeah I know its supposed to be for bikes but it is directly associated with them. I need a van for racebike transportation.
I'm looking for a hiace or l300 in the $2000 to $2500 price bracket. I know it's not much to play with but I just want something to do the job.
So if anyone has one for sale or knows of one, then send me a pm or reply here.
Cheers

Mate i'd have a look on Trade me -I just bought a High roof hiace within your budget.
I'd suggest forget the L300 The door doesnt open wide enough and in your price range could be a tadd scarey mechanicly.
The nissan Homy, the toyota Hiace and the isuzu fargo all have a wide enough door opening.
I'd offer you my fargo but I'd hate for a mate to inherit my hassles.

I got my C22 Vanette specificaly to carry my trials bike, and it fits perfectly - but it won't take a trail bike as the roof is too low.But it's should take a sports bike as they are fairly low,not too sure about the length though.Mine has double doors and it makes loading a breeze.Check one out,I reckon they are the best older van out there, and I'm kinda fussy about these things y'know. But try and get a power steer model,no PS on a diesel sucks.

Should have replied, didn't see you're guys replies, but I got a 1986 hiace lwb on sunday. The engine is mint (only 172000kms) but the body is a bit rough, but nothing too bad, and for $1500 I can't expect much. It also has small rear wheels so the rear is completly flat and double sliding doors. It's also got power steering and even air con, lol.
Went well on the drive from Te Kuiti to New Plymouth on sunday. The 2.0l petrol seemed to have enough grunt to sit at around 100 to 110 comfortably.
Just need to sort out some tie down points. What do you guys do about this? Also will sand and paint some rust spots to try and keep it under control.
