Moto Academy NZ has a space available for one rider in the 2009 New Zealand Superbike Champs MotoGP125 class.
Full infrastructure, tuition, spare bike and riding gear is supplied.
All you need to do is pay your money, turn up, listen and learn, ride the bike and don't be a dick!
At this stage we are planning to have two riders who will each have two Honda RS125 bikes at their disposal (wet and dry bikes) and a full time mechanic and mentor.

Riders should be between 14 and 19 yrs of age, have some racing experience (e.g. Streetstock or MX) and be able to commit to competing in the full season.

Cost is $5995 plus your travel and share of accommodation where appropriate.
If you travel with the team then travel costs will be met by the team.

If anyone is interested, contact me via PM or see me at Manfeild on the weekend.

Cheers

Steve

Hi John.
At this stage the plan is to come for the November meeting at Ruapuna.
But money is VERY tight, so we will have to play it all a bit by ear.

Hopefully we will see youse all there.

Cheers

Thats cheap!! If your a superbike or sports prod rider on a tight budget you would still spend that on tyres!

I hope you're talkin about the nationals there Sloan, cos the winter series shouldn't cost more than a set per day, two days on a tight budget for supersport.

Different I guess for those setting up for a serious nationals season, but not six grand I'd hope.

Heard paddock passes are quite possible to get, so will try for one on the Saturday.
Will watch out for your mates.

Hi all.

Unfortunately no riders have come forward wanting to run the national championships, so Moto Academy NZ will not be contesting them this season.

This is OK, it was a stretch to think we could be organised this year anyway.
But next season we will be in a much stronger position and will hopefully be able to field the full academy. We will see.

Seats in Moto Academy NZ are filling up fast. In fact, all seats except for the Derek Hill Memorial scholarship seat might already be filled. We will be advertising for entries into the scholarship for 2009 in the next while. Scholarship students must be 13-16 yrs old so that they can be considered for Red Bull Rookies Cup 2010.

Any external pressure that can be brought to bear on Stretchy Sketchy to pull finger and commit to riding the 2fiddy at the GP would be good. Hint hint...... Other wise it will be Fatty Baggy riding the poor old girl.

Cheers.
