To white-line or not to white-line

I am a white-liner, but I sort of impose some rules on myself to try and minimise the chances of going for a skate... I will wait for traffic speed to drop to below 30kmh before I duck down between the lanes and go fast enough only to stop the FZR from being all 'chuggy', the hard thing is trying to predict which of the cars is going to do a last minute lane change without indicating (apparently in Auckland if the lane change takes less than 3 seconds there is no need to indicate, go figure). I have found generally cars will try and give you room if they spot you coming, but I have noticed some riders stop and wait in the traffic like a car?

What is the general consensus on white-lining?

We have them about NP and I find them quite handy to use at peak congestion. Few cagers get a wee bit shitty thou :2thumbsup

I used to do it on the north western when i lived in henderson. Same thing just trickle down between the cars when giong slow or stopped. Every now and then i'd come across this dick in a small white jap car (not many of those) who would move over as I got next to him and try to crush me.... This went on for a few months until I got so pissed off that one day when he tried it I kicked his mirror off as i went past.....
Not proud of it but hopefully he got the message - dunno didnt see him again or maybe he couldn't see me coming. Some motorists do take exception to you getting home before them....
