I'd be interested to find out from you lot how many kms you have done/heard done on a 2 smoke before it's blown up.... without top end refreshments?

Phoebe has done 60000+ km with one replacement set of rings, still on the standard bore. Petal was rebored to first oversize at 90000km, though that was part of a general rebuild not because it was really necessary .

One of the guys on the rgv250.co.uk site claims 145,000 with a single rebuild...

I have 50,000km (proddy racing, drag racing and trackdays only) on my best H2A, still original bore and it may come back out of retirement for more soon, this bike has not been on a publc road. Still runs like a Swiss watch. (and Yes 'imdying', it's that purple one I always talk about)

Sorry, that's 50,000 miles, not km:clap::niceone:

My a100 has done 25,000km and already the bore is very scored... still runs well though.

I'm not sure what year Petal is, but the guy who bought my GT750M saw over 100000 km without any engine work. Conversly I have blown a 1972 GT250R engine at less than 5000 km.

Petal's a GT750L , Phoebe's a GT500.

I've holed pistons on two strokes, but that can happen at any mileage it's not related (usually) to wear. Never had a two smoker blow up on me.

managed to get 55,000 km's on a jap import RGV (with the clock probably wound back, so could be closer to 80,000 km's)

before the crank broke in half (center crank bearing broke)

but thats with the previous owner using shit oil, and it running like a bag of crap due to the carbs being set-up poorly
