Come on, a rear facing ram air induction filter is just so ground brakingly brillinat that it must be italian.

I dunno, it's there from multiple angles and everything looks the same.
The first (side-on) photo looks dodgy, the lighting on the intercooler and the clipping looks funny, but it's plausible. But the last photo matches it, so I reckon it's probably genuine.
Plus, nobody could possibly dream up something that hideous.

noice job guido.... lets tuck an intercooler behind the fairing so the air goes around it... oh and also - the engine heat will keep it nice and warm.. !!!
Apart from needing a complete re-design BRILLIANT!

The world is so full of wankers ... they start dying in the factory before anyone gets hold of em...
Mines got a minor oil leak... does that mean someone just copped a feel vs a good tug?

The first two look dodgy, but the last one is real for sure. The shadow is the proof.
It is very ugly, but knowing these bikes quite well, if you were to run a big boost turbo to require an intercooler, I cant see any real way around it. Unfortunately the guy didn't do much homework on turbo technology, or he would have known not to bother with the cooler given the already ample cooling the inlet pipe would provide over that distance, and the turbo being substantially more ventilated than in a car.

One other quick note, the bike wouldn't have been in running condition when the last pic was taken...The waste gate actuator isn't hooked up at all.

It would've been so much kewler and more effective to have put a Rotrex supercharger on. If it can be done to a VFR800, A Ducati should be a piece of piss. Or you could have a supercharger custom made, like the Ozzies did (http://thekneeslider.com/archives/2006/07/05/200hp-vee-two-supercharged-super-squalo/).
