All welcome to come for tea or just pop in say "hello" Bring your own meat for the BBQ and drinks. As its a week night we wont be having a late one (I need my bueaty sleep or i turn into a pumpkin) so we will be cooking at 6.00, and wrap it up about 9.30 Be good for EJK to meet some of our local KB folk

Meanies Green house must be on the corner with the green car, just next to the green party sign and next door to the green bike. Am I right? What does this tell you about Ashhurstonians?

Thanks Bonez. Helpful as ever :)
If anyone notices a Trumpy cruising the streets of Ashurst suspiciously on Tuesday there'll be no need to call the cops :)

Tells me I need to look for a white house on a back section. Anything green will get me lost. Yup, makes sense

we dont have address's in Ashhurst. the postman comes by and if it is a cheque we accept it, if its a bill we pass it to the next house. Actually, thinking about it I am starting to feel sorry for the guy at the end of the street.
Meanies Green house must be on the corner with the green car, just next to the green party sign and next door to the green bike. Am I right? What does this tell you about Ashhurstonians?
Funny enough. It IS a green house and he HAS a green car and there IS a green bike next door. I will make up a sign and you will have it spot on.
If anyone notices a Trumpy cruising the streets of Ashurst suspiciously on Tuesday there'll be no need to call the cops :)
meh, wont look out of place round Ashhurst.

I am thinking it could be revenge time. Being as it is such an occasion I feel everyone should bring streamers and confetti and rice.
They live in green houses and white houses?
Meanie live in the green house - he shouldnt throw stones.
Cowboyz lives in the white house - ?????????????????????
That gate is also idiot proof with its locking device, I know, I could not open it :first:
I hate to tell ya, thats not an idiot proof device, its an IQ test to see if you are smart enough to live in ashhurst. Thats why we had to let you go and you didnt get kidnapped. Wonder how EJK will do..........

Well give the publican a desription of Sinfull and tell him hes a nutter escaped from Otaki, that should save having to go look for him

I'll be meeting EJK tomorrow near Wellington. Paced trip back. Won't be heading out of the capital probably before 4pm so looking at 6.00pm to 6.30pm arrival.
What's the recommended best bypass (PN) route in the wet.

turn off at Kimberly road (just south of Levin) its signposted .. back through shannon, linton & turn off at old west road & back road to Ashhurst .. bout 40 mins from Levin to Ashhurst just watch the roadworks around the opiki turn off but last time I went through it was all good
cowboyz
29th September 2008, 21:11
take the shannon road (turn off just before Levin and go round back of Levin)
then when you get closer to palmy take old west road which is the one that runs out the back of massey. that will take you to summerhill drive. then turn right at the top of summerhill, go aoekatree and striaght on to ashhurst.

If you get out of wellington before just before 4 you should be ok .. after that you will hit it around Plimmerton & it will be slow til you get to the double lanes before pram (double yellow & careful about lane splitting) .. then between pram & waikanae can be quite slow .. after that it should be pretty much plain sailing from that point

When you come into Ashhurst from Aokautetre, turn right towards township off main road and then just as you come round the bend turn left into Short street, we are round the corner, no 16

I had a nice quiet run down to Wgtn and back with EJ which helped me sort the bike out a bit better. I spent a bit of time playing with robots and did a quick ride round the bays and through the city.
I hope you didn't tire EJ too much, he pedals that bike damned well.

Biggest gust I saw here at Ohakea was 39kts (72kph) in the afternoon. We flew in the morning before it got too gusty. The Bell 47G Sioux cruises around 60kts (111kph) and being so light is hugely affected by wind.
EJK, that was no mean feat braving the wind on a small bike and making your destination safely. Well done and may your good fortune continue.

Many years ago I picked up (and perhaps dropped) some searchers there but that was an Iroquois. From memory we were conducting a hut search to figure out the movements of an overdue tramper.
Edit: i think the searchers were all local cops and remember dropping the last group at Palmy airport.
