I'm selling my Hilux Surf,
’94 Hilux Surf
3.0ltr Diesel Turbo (1KZ engine – the good ones apparently)
Manual (4wd)
230k’s (ish)
Good Stereo
Alarm
Central locking
Electric windows
Tow bar (great for towing - lots of torque)
Black Wheels
Opening Doors
And other good stuff like that+
It's in good nick and I don't really want to sell it, but I need the money.
I want $5500 for it but it's been suggested that instead of selling it, I raffle it. I dunno about that coz I don't want to get caught up in the Internal Affairs (having to get a license or summat) thing or do I have the time and effort to sell tickets? If I did raffle it how many tickets should I get done? 2000 @ $5/ea (I'd have to cover the costs of fees and admin stuff) or what? Do ya reckon they'd sell? Or just say "Stuff it" and sell it?

Ohh, the full spec one.
$1 reserve on Tardme. Saves time dicking around and you will get a true "market price". Only drawback is Trademe's exhorbitant fees.

fucken tell me about it! How can they legally advertise that you can sell a vehicle from $19 when it's actually not possible? i'm sure that's false advertising? (off topic I know)
Back on topic, dude I reakon you actually might be onto something with the raffle, I would definately purchase a ticket, and I think plenty of others would too, pretty cool idea actually, would be easy to sell the tickets too if you went to a track day and sold the tickets there, with the car there for people to look at etc - although it will be a fuck-around for you for sure compared to throwing it up on trademe......

I'm selling my Hilux Surf,
and I don't really want to sell it
And I don't really want to buy it. But cos you're a mate I'll do you a favour and take it off your hands. $10 and I'm cutting me own throat. Just make sure that the RUC is up to date, thanks.

I don't think you are allowed to raffle it privately. The 4WD market will pick up over the next few months. I got my surf on trademe. Its much cleaner and low ks etc than your one.

I do believe DB that you are correct on this point (bloody hell)
The 4WD market will pick up over the next few months.
The general swing is away from big 4x4's across the board globally - Manufacturers are dropping numbers made and they are simply not selling (plenty of article's about this in the motoring press).
With the markets as tight as they are at the moment - less people buying boats etc requiring a big 4x4 to tow it with. I think sales will stay flat to dropping. Thats why (even tho yours is tidy) - you have had it for sale for months.

Put it on trade me as a classified. Cheaper, good advertising.
I sold my 250 that way, went in the first week.
