I want to buy a four stroke 250 in the next six months. I like the shape of the CBR250 but I would like to look at other bikes. Any suggestions ?

Kawasaki Ninja or Suzuki GSX are always worth a look.

Reliable and more desirable than a Honda.

It's only to ride around Hamilton so it doesn't have to be that fantastic performance wise. Just look nice and clean.

I've got a CBR250RR in Auckland at the moment, and I'm living in Melbourne. The engine and gearbox are tight as, I've only run it on quality semi-synth. I have raced it once. Came 8th in Formula 3 against a stack of 650's and 400's. Only 1 400 beat me. And I beat most of the 650's too.

Also won the Streetstock class by miles that same day. I've never dropped it. Currently sitting in the garage doing nothing apart from looking pretty.

It's Black/Grey with Red wheels. Metzeler Rennsport RS1 front tyre (the best tyre in the world for this bike), and Dunlop GPR A10 on the rear, (very awesome tyre), only raced on these tyres once, it was my road bike while I was racing 600's, so they are still in excellent condition. Got 30 something thousand k's and out of all the CBR250's I've owned, it runs the best.

Please note, these bikes run best on 91 octane. They get pretty much 20k/l so they are really cheap to run. And the CBR is extremely reliable. I've owned 4 and I've never managed to damage an engine, raced a whole season on one in NZ, and am currently racing one here at Philip Island, Winton, and Broadford. I thought I would always keep it, but I think I'll be back in Aussie again next year, so I won't need it, would rather have the cash.

Want $5 grand for it. Send me a PM if you are interested. It's at my parents house along with my car. Will be back on the 6th of december or you can view it sooner if you want. Hasn't been started for some months I think.

If I sell it before I get back, that'll mean that dad has to loan me the CBR600RR that I fixed up and sold to him.

Sub $2,000 budget? It's the RG150 for you. Light as a feather with 37hp...a wee flying machine. Happy shopping.

Beg, borrow and steal over the next six months. I got a CBR250RR mc22 w/ 28kms for just shy of $4k, runs very well.

Best/fastest 250 4stroke out there! Don't bother with any other brands :nya:

But then I am biased :shifty:
