I'm having difficulty coming up with a $ figure to ask for, since I have the YZF I no longer require my old bike, a 1988 CBR250R Hurricane(twin headlamp shape) w/27,000k's on it, I'm the only New Zealand owner since importing Jan 2001, it has near new tyres, new battery, and just recovered the pillion seat.

Anyone know what kinda coin I should ask?

Sounds like a bike that you would normally see a 3000-3500 price tag on it. See what the others say

I sold my 87 cbr250r for $3500, with 26,000km's on the
clock, 6 months ago, honda's are good reliable bikes,
you should have no problem selling it.

Yep around the 3000-3500 mark seems like a good price...

Hmm, so the number seems to be around $3500, It's just about the only bike that I've never needed to use the choke on, just start and away she goes...

Don't mean to be nosey, but what did you pay for it?

Hope I'm not poking my nose anywhere it's not meant to be

I'm thinking 4 would be too much, even though I am in the South Island, I'm gonna put it on the market in a few weeks, but I want to replace the front fork seals first since one of them has started to weep.

I sold my '87 CBR 250 Hurricace (Single headlight shape - nicer in MY opinion) to the dealer for $3K. They sold it for $4K. I reckon advertise for $4200, and leave yourself space to be "haggled" down to $3500 at the MOST. I'd be happy with $3500 to $4000.

Hey, try Trade-Me, with a reserve of $3500.

88 Model $2800- 3000 . Maybe if it was a RR you may get more . Pay's to be realistic now a day's . Owned shit load's of bike's & have found that if you want to sell then you bring your price down alittle less to gain having the cash in your hand . Rather than holding out & getting even less when it doesn't sell
