Gloves?

hi it's time to look for som new gloves thaught i ask to see what every one else is using,
glove must be comuter freindly ie water proofish, be warm enuf to handle cold mornings but also cool enounf in summer and would perfur the added protection from knuckle protcters and gota be a resnable price
if any one know of any thing they could recomend please do so

No I bought mine at a shop,$250 from memory and worth every cent. Not an all weather glove though, I just piped up to say Clover is good gear.

Your criteria are sort of mutually exclusive, if you want a year-round glove. Anything that's warm enough for winter riding (and waterproof) is going to be too warm in summer.
There are compromises you can make, like buying some waterproof overgloves/mittens to go over gloves that are only showerproof, but you'd be better off getting two pairs of gloves if you can.

I've got some Spidi SportComp H2Out gloves for winter, but because I like thin gloves, as soon as the weather gets warmish, (like... about a month or so ago), I switch to my Held gloves, which are much thinner. I still wear the Spidis if there is a really wet or cold day, but if I had some decent overgloves, I'd use those. (I do have some waterprof oilskin overmittens, but they're not the best - a bit awkward and slightly too small).

My Summer gloves are Rev-It HydraTex and are very comfortable, they cost around $90 I think.

The problem you have is your asking for a glove that has all the beneficial technology, but not wanting to pay the price... welcome to the world of motorcycling... good gear costs money.

thankx and yearppppppp dont i know it feels like i gota sell my left nut some times to get the gear but ohh well dats life and end of the day if the unspeekeble hapens ill be thankfull rte.

I am looking very hard at the new Quasimoto gloves. If you have small hands I will do a hell deal on a pair of Alpinestars Super duper track gloves GP Pro or GP Tech they are.

I've got Macna gloves, sorry dont know the model but could look if you want.

Came with a pair of inners which I wore for the winter and very very warm. I had no problems with water either, my hands stayed dry. The gloves dried out over night no problems (by the fire). I havnt really worn them in hot weather so I dont know what they'll be like.

I'm not wearing the inners anymore coz they are that warm on their own. They do have a bit of leather over the knuckles but not armour as such IMO. good wrist protection too.

Cost $140ish from memory. Styleish, well thats a matter of opinion, probebly not! My only gripe is the the little finger is very big and long, much more than any normal persons fingers would be I think.

DON'T get a pair of AlpineStar SP2's. My mate came off wearing them and they ripped to shreds. He got quite a nasty cut on his pinky which bleed a lot on his bike.

I have them also, got them just before our trip away last week...its the first time that I had tried on a pair of gloves and thought, fucken wow! other gloves have been '' yeah these will do'' but the H20's? superb....:yes:

I love my Rev'IT H2O gloves but yep if you're hoping for totally waterproof then you might be disappointed. That can be said of most "winter" gloves from what I read. Best to think of them as semi waterproof summer gloves.

I find they work fine until I take my hands out. Then the wet leather seems to let the water through the membrane. No idea why.

Damn comfortable in Auckland winter temps (without all that padding) and they crash well so I'm ok with the odd leak.
