I have been to the ChCh showroom a couple of times, seem a wee bit overpriced for my liking.

Have you looked at another imported called emoto ???

I dont know about them being more costly than others I got the ST3 off them for a good price, but it always pays to shop around.

What are you looking for? Get that idea sorted first then go looking, I guess you are looking at a specific bike off their web site though.

Is that John Boots shop?
I brought my KZ1000 from them... That was when he had first started.
Yes he was a bit higher then other dealers. But he was much better for getting HP:o
I had a few things wrong with the bike which he fixed for free and lent me a bike till mine was fixed.
I think he even filled up my tank.:Punk:

I can definitely recommend eMoto - they've got listings on TradeMe. I bought an Alfa 166 off them as well, so they do cages if you ask nicely.

Sorry to hijack the thread, but do any of these guys import to order, for example- if I wanted a price on getting an old Yamaha SDR200 bought in- would either of these guys do that?

Thanks and sorry.

Yes emoto will import to order.

But you have to give them a deposit of around $1,000 before their Japanese agent will start looking for you (the deposit is 100% refundable if you decide not to go ahead with a bike purchase).

They used to be a lot cheaper, but I think they're struggling now that the NZD has gone into free-fall (as are all importers).

Top bunch though. I couldn't fault the service they gave me.

You could always try 'Just Motorcycles' at New Brighton. They import and are pretty good to deal with.

Hi Guys

I'm interested in a specific bike they have on Trademe and was trying to find out what their service has been like in the past. Particularly important as I'm in AKL and seriously considering buying "Bike Unseen"

Hi Dangerous

If you did get an opportunity that'd be great, its the blue 2001 ZX12 that's caught my eye

Mind you its just as easy to go to a dealer, importers are not much cheaper

Here's a trade secret.

Most of the dealers buy used imports at wholesale rates from the importers. This is how they get around the restrictions that their distributors place on parallel imports.

Buying through an importer keeps it all at arms length ...
