Why is that some people regardless of actual knowledge, feel the need to tell others of their perceived failings? There have been a few threads on KB of late that have been of such a nature. Sure, if someone has proven knowledge of a topic i.e. Shaun Harris has raced at IOTT and it'd be a fair bet he has particular knowledge of the subject. But there are a lot of people who either have just enough knowledge to be dangerous or who just feel the need to correct the 'mistakes' of those they feel superior to whether they actually have the knowledge, experience or ability to actually to judge.
No, it's not just KB (Horror of horror's KB ISN'T the centre of the universe!!) it's the population in general. I'll take advice from those people who I know have the knowledge or people who know me well enough to offer advice.
To all the others out there who think THEY no what's best for me and anyone else - PULL YOUR FUCKING HEADS IN!!

Simple, some people don't have lives of any interest so they make up for it by getting stuck into other peoples.

Only you know what best for you..I say that in general terms.
I am staggered by some of the advice asked about on here, but those who ask should accept the advice given, stupid or otherwise.
They obviously dont have the skill to work it out themselves.
When advice is given without promting...thats fuckin' rude, thats someone telling you how they feel and what they perceive as being correct, and in most case's, I dont care.

Its when someone complains about the advice breaking their bike, getting them hurt etc.. that pisses me off.
Its upto the person seeking advice to determine whether its good advice, and get a 2nd opinion.

What makes the thread starter qualified to voice that opinion?
Something of an expert on human behaviour?, trained and qualified?
No?
Then Sir, be prepared to be burned at the stake.
All we need now is an expert on stakes and burning, Bound to be at least a dozen resident experts on KB'r.

Who are you to say that burning at the stake is the appropriate punishment?!
Stoning is clearly the proper course of action!

ah ha, a claim with nothing to back it up.
Every fool claims "experience" when their credentials are queried.
(Should have seen how far that argument got me with the OSH inspector, It wasn't pretty.....muhahahahahaha)
Anyway, I'm wondering if we would have to nail him to the stake?, I'm thinking ropes would burn through and he would be able to walk away.
Sure he would be on fire but......
Not a fan of stoning, they run and then you have to chase them, unless we tied him to something....like a stake, and if we done that we could just set him on fire.
AND THEN STONE HIM.
Brilliant.

Hmmm i'm seeing a trend here.
talk about fucking yourself man.
Sad fact of the matter is i usually have no issue with smart people.
Arrogant people i have issues with.
While Shaun is a world class racer and suspension (well whole bike actually) specialist - he can not DICTATE what is right. That comes down to personal preference.
Its arrogance that begets arrogance. Personality's clash when arrogance gets in the way.
I'm sick of people crying because they can no longer afford to race - you don't see me crying because my motorcycle collection i DREAM of having hasn't happened yet because im poor.
Lifes a bitch - deal with it

Well actually. Now that you mention it. If you watch Indiana Jones III, you will notice the German soldier in the bike chase waves to his Nazi mates AND he is clearly countersteering the bike at the same time! So there, lets mention it. I should know, I'm fully qualified at spotting nazis countersteering. I even have a badge to prove it.
I think this thread shows some real promise... :doobey:

A lot of it is just simply people wanna know something, so someone will always certainly tell them something so that they can then know what they know.
Now if we all knew what they knew then we'd never need to ask them information on something so that we could know it
End of the day if you knew what they know and they knew you knew what they knew and you knew that they knew you knew what they knew then everybody knows, ya know

I thought these kinds of forums are here so all can express their own individual opinions. I guess not in this case eh
