If i wanted to waste 8 good riding hours i'd take up golf.In saying that tho if its raining i'll prob watch the start and maybe the finish.

Not a smidge of an adrenalin rush sitting on arse watching
Bathurst unfortunately so its MX or Trail ride for me.
Waste of petrol if you ask me - I'll never buy either of the brand of cars that are racing.Hype hype hype. Our oil reserves in the world are slowly diminishing - these clowns are just making the fkn stuff more expensive to buy at the end of the day by burning it in bigger quantities and screwing up our environment even quicker in the process.
All in the name of promotion and advertising!

The only passing i ever see in most car racing is done in the pits. V8 ute racing is promising tho,i would be prepared to watch that.

the poll has shown that some of us dont like watching racecars and would prefer to go riding, i like watching them just like i get up early some mornings to watch the superbikes and f1 etc, i was brought up on a diet of jim-carna, rally and screaming round the farm on my bike. i just like wathcing motorsport.
but it sux this bathurst cos i gota go milk the cows that arvo so ill miss 3 or more hours of it.

Fantastic factual statement, thanks for that

V8 Supercars dont even run on petrol.

So you would no doubt be writing to your mp asking why petrol is still close to $2 a litre when oil prices are the same as they were when petrol was $1.68 a litre then?
Or do you just like whining ?

Au touring car racing is boring ever since they made it a 2 manufacturer class, they might be reasonably quick taxi's but its just taxi racing to me.
Hard to get exited over a 2 car race.
But, Bathurst is still pretty iconic and I still make an effort to watch some of it if I can.

But, you know each to their own.

It's a lot more interesting if you're involved........... I've got my CAMS accreditation, so in theory I can work in the pits at Bathhurst as well as the NZ events, OZ V8s, A1GP and Rally NZ........ It's my wife's birthday on the 12th, of course I'll be watching the race..... If it's fast and full of drama, I'm in........

8 hours playing golf? either you suck at it or like to play 3 rounds in a row!

You can't put the skylines back in because then it would just be 1 car race :mega:. If ya cant beat it ban it! lol

Its all about a day on the piss, BBQ, mates yardiyar and it only happens once a year.

By the end of the day its probobly cheaper to go riding :gob:

Contrary to others opinions, its going to be Bathurst for me.
I was going to do the trail blazer at taupo But there is a ride on nearly every weekend at the moment and bathurst is once a year.
