The difference in driver courtesy depending on whether I am riding or driving. (This is only referring to multi lane motorways and highways.)

You know what its like when there's some oneker driving slow in the fast lane...

When I am out and about on my bike (with my headlight wired on) I am suprised at how many courteous drivers in front of me in the fast lane will pull left out of my way to let me past.

Whereas while driving a car, forget it - those same drivers won't pull over for anyone, not even a fire engine.

I suppose I should be pleased that they've noticed me I guess.

Has anyone else found this?

Yeah, I find most people pull over when I come up behind them, when I ride , my lights are on all the time (dipped) new bike looks a bit fuc#ed only has one light on one side on (am told by the dealer thats supposed to be like that) still pisses me off when some Dick comes up and says "Oneayu lights out mate"

But fire engines, now thats a different story, In auckland cage drivers have a game they like to play when they see a fire engine in there rear view mirror, that's assuming the pricks even look in the rear view, they go like, yeah lets see how many of us can push into the fast lane and fuc#kin stay there we might just get to work a bit quicker:argh: Why anyone wants to get to work quicker is beyond me.

Drivers up here can pull over, especially if it's a country road. Only old people will on surbaban roads.

I watchet some twat hold up an ambulance with lights and siren gong along Greenlane road for ages for no particular reason..href="http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/misc.php?action=getsmilies&amp;s=#"><IMG title=Rifle alt="" src="http://www.kiwibiker.co.nz/forums/images/smilies/ar15firing.gif" border=0> (smilie(':ar15:'); return false;)

A quick wave after you've gone by goes down well too I think.

I've also noticed how many drivers pull over now, much better than the old days. Maybe they're ex- bikers.
