Hi!

New in NZ and wondering if here´s any really nice crowded bike meetings. Like, we had a couple of meetings in Sweden that lasted 4 about a week and that were filled with activites, parties and lots, lots and lots of bikes. We lived in tents or small cottages. Often there came people from the whole country and in groups of 2 - 3 to 15 - 20! You usualy payed a fee also.

Are there something similar here in NZ?

Sulphur City motorcycle rally, Rotorua, November (http://www.scmcc.co.nz/index.php?pr=Events).

Both are in easy reach of Matamata.

Welcome to KB and the Waikato. Have you done the Coromandel Loop yet?

Beware the bad boys in Tauranga.

Harde brah...(or something similar) Oh no, that's Norwegian.

We came over from UK 18 months ago, and like you, were used to large bike meets (BMF, Bulldog, IOMTT, BSB/WSB.) We also did smaller meets where the numbers are far smaller (XJROC, Gurt gallybagger.)
To be honest, we found the small events more sociable, you tend to meet and talk to a wider group.:grouphug:

Since we've been here, money's been tight, so the outings have been restricted. But at the KB Bustagut(Turangi), Rapa Rumble and Cold Kiwi, we've had a great time at all.
The bit you need to do mate is get to whatever meets you can and say hi.
If you do, by any chance, bump into me, I'll be absolutely wankered by ther end of the night and you'll haver to reintruduce yourself later.

Oh yeah, welcome to NZ. Get over the first few demerits, it happens. Get out, off the highways, you'll love it.

These can't be the only motorcycle rallies coming up surely?

I see that there is the 'Magpie Madness' coming up on the 21st, 22nd & 23rd of November - down in the South Island though. What North Island rallies are there coming up in November, December & January? We have plenty of good weather for camping ahead, there must be something good on.

Hey mate, jump on the Waikato Laxed out rides forum. The other weekend we went to Kawhia and it was awesome. It's just a chilled out ride but pretty much it broke up into the fast lot and the slow lot and we met out there and had lunch.

They are always planning rides here and there, normally day trips, which is good for our budget!

Come check it out, good bunch of people having a good time. (And welcome to the land of the long white cloud!)
