Yes, you'd been downgrading. Hubby's GSXR 600 (2004) came with them OEM so they're old technology now. The new ones are 016s.

But, the 014's are still great tyres, if the price is right then hey.

Yes, you'll most likely notice the difference. Even tyres of the same size (e.g. 180/55) can feel completely different because of the profiles and shape of the tyre. My K4 1000 came with Bridgestones (012s) but we flicked them for Pilot Powers to help it turn in better.

I have just replaced my 014's with Dunlops rr's , i only got 4500 kms from them and they were well and truly buggered. I was not that keen on them my self but every body has a personal opinion. I can only speak from my esperince. I put a set of dunlop qualifies rr ed209's on my last bike and they were great. So i am going back to them. Good luck.

Ouch! Is there a particular reason you want to stick with the Corsas instead of considering other brands, such as the Michelins? I know we can get full a full set of Powers for $500ish.

Standard fitment on the K4-great tyres. Make sure they are warm before canning and you should be fine.
Any doubts I had about ther effectivness have been laid to rest by Enigma51, he proved that [as usual] the rider makes far more difference than the tyres.

My K6 1000 and my K6 750 came shod with 014s... I never had any bad issues with them, in fact I can honestly say I liked them. I put a set on my K4 1000 when I had that bike, too.
At the end of the day, tyre preference is an individual thing, like suspension set up. Different strokes for different folks...

Friends don't let friends ride Bridgestones (tm).

Pay no attention to Enigma, he's just a mad jarpie cunt who hates sticky tyres because they don't let him slide around.

get some 015 or 016es.

birdgestones are wayyy better then perillis in the wet. and better over a way wider range of tempratures, making them better for road riding.

of course, you could get the race ones(i havnt tested them yet, but im told that their the shizz(just ask rossi))

Thanks, and yes I have. I've owned four gixxer 1000s from new, and they all came with Bridgestone tyres on them, as did my first (and present) 750.
They're good in the wet, and have a predictable feel about them.
If you've been to any MotoTT trackdays this year, you may have seen an un-assuming bloke punting a grey/silver K7 GSX-R750 around... he is ex-NZ superbike champ Russell Josiah, he quite liked the 014s, but then again, what would he know....

Sweet Jesus bleeding from his palms on a wooden cross!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you get a free BJ with every tyre?

I'd recommend the Conti Sport Attack. You should get a pair for under $550. Wear well too.

I'd love to... but unfortunately in a job dictated by the weather gods, the weather has been crap, and I've got lots of work to catch up on.
As a matter of interest, you can see when a tyre was manufactured. There is a four numeral code on them, the first two numbers are the week, and the last two are the year. eg code 2606 means the 26th week of 2006. Can be quite a good reference

Been running bt014 on the front and bt021 on the back.

They warm up quick and have saved my a number of times when I have gone trough melted tar or cow pot in the rain.

I'd recommend bt021 for your back - that the dual compaund one. Harder in the middle for comutting and have the soft compound of the bt014 on the sides.
