Yeah that's a good one, seen a similar thing with a "monkey" walking by.
Passed the test counted 13 but didn't see the "bear". Good drill aye.
Just shows if we're fixated on one thing we won't be aware of other things around us.

Yep, thought provoking isn't it?
Got the passes, missed the bear...

Did no one see the guy on the R1 pulling a wheely in the background...?

That's terrible, I failed both the counting (missed one because of glare on my screen) and didn't even notice the bear.
But hmmm, isn't there a thread up somewhere talking about something like this, about how drivers will more easily "see" cyclists/horses/pedestrians etc as their car is a threat to them, other cars as a threat to their car, but won't see motorbikers as helmets hide our faces (so we don't register as "human" or "living") and we're not a threat?

iam pretty sure if you didnt see the bear you failed... monkeys could count the passes

I didn't see the bear but I wasn't even counting the passes cause the internet connection was choppy.... and I still didn't see the bear, lol

Downside of this of course is they'll put the bear in a high-vis vest and do the same thing...and everyone will see him.
And then all of a sudden we be required by law to wear em!!

Touch wood mate!
Let's hope they damn well don't... Got nothing against hi-vis, great idea I think, but let us make our own choices 'cause I'm sure as hell just gonna stick to black with reflector patches.

Please dont spoil the impact with any comments posted

I think I'm really good at this stuff but I still failed, so much so, I played it again to check. A very valid point made. :shifty:

not a valid point.
he was the same size and shape as anyone of the people on the black team (It doesn't even look like a bear when you focus on it, not to mention his moonwalk is shite).
I would say most people saw him but took no notice as there was no reason to.
Likening it driving a car is kind of silly because car drivers barely look at what's going on around them anyways, they don't notice you because their attention is diverted, they don't see you because they don't look.

Yip, he was lifting the heal on the foot that he was dragging backwards, which is wrong. He needed to lift the heal on his right foot then drag the left foot backwards while keeping his left heal down, then do the same again but swap the feet around if that makes sense.

The next time someone gets taken out by someone who fails to see them, think of this.

Tripe !!
I showed this to lots of people yesterday, and the vast majority failed.
I've attended lots and lots of crashes where people have said they didn't see the oncoming car, bike, cycle, truck etc, and always thought they were talking rubbish. Now I am more understanding.
Amazing how some people can read whatever they want into what is basically a very simple message.
