Sounds like a good idea, but if it is over gravel roads, sand, dirt etc etc then its a no go for me. Sorry dude but I spent a considerable amount of time and money on restoring my bike and I want it to remain restored.
Otherwise if it is on bitumen only then count me in.

I spent a considerable time restoring my bike so it could be used on gravel and dirt.

Unless it's a classic motard...

Pics!

Sorry for not being more specific with this thread, looking for guys or gals that have TT500s or XT500s in the Waikato that want to meet and go riding,
Would be great to only hear from people that want to be part of this
Cheers.
PS Those of you with 1979/80 XR500s and DR400T would be great to hear from you aswel could be a thumper of a day.

Got a '79 XR250 but it's a bit of a journey for a day's riding :D

jeez I miss mine! I sold it a couple of years ago to make room for my rental bike fleet. I used to ride mine over to hamilton occasionally. but it was great through the karangahake Gorge and around the Coro loop:banana::banana:

Alot of them are being snapped up by the VMX guys, My old DR400S wont ever be road legal again, though I did see an SP370 on trade me that would have been a good restore for this type of riding.

I have a few mates in the Waikato that own TT500s and they arent that far off restoring them to be used on the road, its just that I have beaten them to the mark, I'm ready to ride. There are lots of rides that I can go on but there is nothing quite like riding with other bikes of the same vintage (Twin shock 370-500cc 4 stroke pre 1981 Thumpers only). The TT500, XT500, 79/80 XR500 and XL500 aswel as the 1980 DR400T and S, and the DR370/SP370 if you know what I mean. Would be great to rustle these bikes togther for a ride.
