Any suggestions for what kind of bike I can get. Currently on KLX140. Have tried out TTR230 and CRF230. They're both around 108 kilos. Mine is only 88. Oh yeah I'm not that tall, 5 foot 1! I've tried the 85 as well, not sure on the power band! Oh yeah I'm a nanna and like an electric start, although have seen a Pampera 250 which is only 102 kilos. I could use a kick start I guess. Help!

brought my mrs an 85cc, fits her perfectly. The weight of the bike was more of an issue for her than the powerband. And the amount of money we had to spend would either buy a heavy old 4stroke or a 85cc at just under 70kgs(I think). After a couple of rides the power was fine for her and she loves it, and once warm you could kick start it with your hand.

as above the 85's are very light, and a bit quicker, you can tame the power down by taking out compression (thicker head gasket) or a fly wheel weight,

Pamera is a option, great little bike, and very low seat height, not as easy to get parts or sell as a japanese bike,

other option is a KDX200, they can be lowered pretty easily, but at 5-1 this may still be a bit tall, they are 102kg as well from memory

Yeah right, I will get platform boots and be taller than you Chop!!! What about those hills at Woodhill with an 85 then? It's got little wheels like my 140! Can you guarantee I'm going to get up them - the hills!!!

Are you going to the ladies Broxy coaching on 18th, welcome to have a go on Graces 85... The 85 zips round Woodhill with no issues...... (other than those induced by the rider... ) I think it starts just as easily as most electric start bikes...... Very light, very easy to pick up, very easy to start after being picked up, fantastic brakes and suspension.... We wouldn't hesitate to buy another............

Which hills?

The big dipper and other cool hills that people lead her onto.

5'1 on a KDX200? Could be a bit of a stretch? But then again I have no idea how much you can lower them.

GF is 5'2 and has a 2006 DRZ-125L (large wheel). She loves it so far. Fairly lite weight, and good low seat height as standard. Suspension setup for people of lower weight than a KDX200 which is setup for 75kg I believe?

Hell, I got my wife one of the large wheel KLX140's recently. At the time I had a CRF230. Rode the KLX140 a few times, and liked the little critter so much (these things can go when you wring em out, and the suspension is actually pretty good for a little'un) that I got rid of the CRF230, and bought a KLX300!
There's no 2 ways about it, the 140's suspension is light years ahead of the CRF230's, the CRF used to leave me battered after a hard ride. The KLX300 is a massive step up on the CRF..
The 140 is a very good bike, did you get the small or large wheel version? I'd be think seriously about why you want to go up.. the DRZ125 suzuki is nothing flash, the KLX has more power, electric leg and far better suspension..
Just my $0.02 worth. We've now got 2 kawasakis (140 and 300 KLX's) and my son rides a CRF80.. thats the next one to go..
Cheers

haha you'll need massive platform!!!! If you cant get an 85 up those hills(big dipper not included) theres something wrong! I still think j that the kx is going to be your best option..
