Erm, that's not the "new shape" Bandit. It's one of the old shapes.

I believe it's a Mk2 bandit. 2000 was the first year they came out.
It's got the dual lights so looks pretty similar to the latest model.

Mine is the older shape single headlight model.

I have to say they are great bikes for riding in the real world, and this one is cheaper than mine was.

Sorry, in my bid to prevent confusion, I seem to have confused someone.

There was a major revision to the Bandit 600 in 2000, including changes to the chassis, brakes, gearbox, etc, as well as the styling.

By saying 'new shape' I meant it is the revised, newer version, as there are some pre-revision Bandits which were registered in 2000.

The current model (and the subsequent revision/s) has a 650 block, hence I though calling it a Bandit 600 (new shape) would be the clearest defintion.
