Were any of you guys heading west from Whitianga towards Coromandel town about lunchtime? I was heading the other way and saw a bunch of bikes in the twisties about 10 minutes from Whitianga. Noticed a Buell and black Kawasaki 1400 among them, but was a bit occupied for waving!

Had a good ride back in the company of what looked like a 916 Duke. We stuck together at ummmm... a "good" pace on the straights and sweepers apart from both anchoring up when my detector saved us from the HWP at Kuatounu:whistle:. However, I got impressively slaughtered over the Coro Hill :2thumbsup. A most enjoyable ride.

LOL GSX1400 is meant to be the fastest production vehicle in the world from 0-100kmh until the latest W12 supercharged Bugatti arrived on the scene.
I'm not heavy enough to keep the front down to find out but of course you'd eat me after the 100kmh mark :)

There's a vid testing a lot of bikes and cars from 0-100kmh. The GSX1400 was stock standard except for Yoshimura pipes, nothing else. Did 0-100kmh in 2.57 seconds the next quickest was an XJR at 2.83

Now I know for a fact you drag race. :) I never have and the arse on my leathers is thin from the last slide up the road I reckon it might get thinner if I pitted myself against the drag Maestro.

LOL...I'm no maestro young fella. Have only ever managed a 10.5 on the '14 to date.

Yeah, would be cool. I know the earlier ZX's were a bit stifled down low off the mark in first and second and the latest ones have been altered. Rona had fiddled with his to get it off the mark down low quicker.

I read on a GSX1400 forum when they tested it they took off two up in top gear and it never stalled just kept pulling like a tractor from way down low.

Be interesting to know what ZX14 will do the 0-100kmh time in aye? :)
