a well endowed lady's chest when out jogging! Well, I seem to have a bit of a repeated bouncy thing going on when I go over a bump. 'Scuse the newby question, but methinks that this is the rear shock on its way out. Please confirm. Or have I eaten too many pies?!

Maybe a stupid suggestion, but could there be the matter of the tyre pressure in this as well?
I remember how the wrong tyre pressure made my rear end feel a few months ago...all over the freakin show! Dunno, just trying to help.

Some specific info on the bike and distance travelled, load carried etc would help immensely.

He has a Spada. Which is an up-speced alloy framed VTR250. I think his has done about 25000k.
Spadas are fairly softly sprung, hXc's one certainly was. But they shouldn't 'bounce' though.

Okay, the rebound damping has likely failed.

Bike done 38K.
Leaky shock. Probably all spring and no damping by now. Weighing up the merits of re-building old shock vs buying second hand. Any thoughts? Anyone got a spare Spada rear shock in their shed?

See? You knew the answer all the time.
I can be cocky because riding my SJ50 is like riding a pogo stick so I recognise the symptoms... :sherlock:

Yeah, just a bit new to this 2-wheeled game so needing a bit of back-up.
