Another lovely sunny day in Auckland..... so by 1pm I think buggar this... so on the bike I get and off I go up to Orewa for a ice cream.... :sunny:

I went up the Nor Western Motorway, Greenhieth, Albany, Diary Flats to Orewa.... was a lovely ride, not much traffic on the roads and all flowing nicely.

But I did see one real dickhead on the Motorway entrance up at Westgate.... this twit was coming in from the Hobsonville Road way... and instead of just driving on and merging into the turning traffic... nup this idiot decided to stop his car and look around for a gap in the traffic... yep there was cars up his arse.... talk about just about causing a accident.... this dickhead has no idea about entering a lane.... everyone was honking horns at him... cars were having to go around him.... and he still sat there until it was totally clear.

What I wanna know who is teaching these dude's at the driving school to do this..... cos the instructor's need shooting.

So once I got to Orewa, and parked the bike on the footpath (as ya do) into the shop to get my double scoop Hokey Pokey and Jelly Tip ice cream..... YUMMMMMM... I sit down inside and watch the cars and trucks go by....

After that I headed but down the same way and turned off to Kaukopakopa (sp) and Helensville.... I follwed a blue Harley Davidson all the way to Helensville. Still not many cars on the roads... but a few bikes..... waved to them all and yep they all waved back to me.... :spudwave:

After leaving Helensville I headed back to Auckland.... well once I had gotten just past the Murawai turnoff, the traffic started to build up, going the opposite way to me..... the closer I got to Auckland the worse the oncoming traffic got.... it got to be harder and harder to pass cars.... but I was determined to get past one particular car..... and to have a perve..... the car top was down..... and........ and....... :msn-wink:

So all in all it was a lovely ride..... did more practising of my bike handling skills..... :niceone: :spudwave:

Great to hear you had a good one. Nice to see I'm not the only one who gets "detoured" on my bike. Nice work on the perving too  :done:

Took my youngest son for a ride on Friday :2thumbsup and stayed in Opotiki. Came back to Napier via Rotorua today. Hence S/H 30. Could not believe this when we crossed it. The rest of the road is great. You are lucky people in the middle of the Island. The only bug is the 70 and 80 km restrictions around the lakes. :thud: I came across a traffic cop on S/H 30 but on the hilly windy stuff so got away with it. :wavey: It would be a sticky road with melted Tar in the afternoon, I would think, but in the early morning it is great. 10/10 for that round trip. :2thumbsup

Zapf - ummmmm yep.....

T'was my guess too :stoogie:
Sounds like a majic day, and the traffic and likelyhood of the law always increases as you get to the 50km/h sign just before the Moowhy turnoff. I always keep right on the speed limit through there, that turn off is a real blackspot
