It's what happens when kiddies with botnets turn up. Usually flick it to invite only, ban their bots cos they usually have a couple of hundred running on 2 or 3 machines (often a server that a friend has up and they all run their little botnets thinking they're cool) and leave it for the night.

Aren't they just clowns then! Glad it's working now... Here's hoping they'll find some other buzz to get off on!

I love you Mr Mental trousers but honestly I don't have a clue what any of that means  What on earth is a botnet, why would ya wanna ban a bot, how can a friend have a server and what machines. Admit it, your just making it up to confuse an old b'stard.

What on earth is a botnet, why would ya wanna ban a botA botnet is a bunch of virus-infected computers communicating with each other and waiting for commands from their master (a person) to attack a website, do a spam email run, or scan a new block of computers to spread itself onto more computers. It's quite intriguing to watch in action. If you ban a bunch of bots/viruses from their communnications channel, you cut the viruses line of communication off and leave them to die, unless they have been engineered to re-establish a new one elsewhere.

http://www.shadowserver.org/wiki/ is an underground uber-elite anti-terrorist organisation that fights them. :eek5: Well, they fight them anyway.
