What an awesome day for a ride ...

People from up north (manuwatu etc) rode down .. and those from the other side (Wairarapa) also came down.

I met Elle33f this morning at Rimutex after her extremely enjoyable tromp over the hill at 9.30 (A little late due to a small battery issue of mine) ...

Her bike .. well plain .. but her body was soon adorned in a pink Tutu ... wonderful biking outfit that one ... fit right over her textile riding gear. My bike was once again dolled out in pink with a bra and grapefruit filling it .. and Bruce the bear again becoming confused dressed in a corsett and matching g-string ...

We rode up to John Street to the WIMA meeting spot where we followed pink arrows to find their hiding place ... we were briefed and then off ... 10.30 around the bays ... an interesting group of riders and bikes .. from those with loads of experience to those with very little (one we met had never been on a bike before)!!

we made our way .. hooting and waving around to island bay then continued riding forever to make our way to oriental parade .. where hooting and waving continued ... up taranaki and back to base where sausages .. hot dogs cold drinks and Mr Whippy keep us company till we had the first set of spot prizes ....

WELL DONE ELLE33F .... could the rider in the tutu please collect her new JACKET ... bloody nice on too!!

we both rather dipped out in the raffles but I did see OscarNZ get one ... so that was good news there too ...

Elle after her win stripped back to only motorcycle gear and I we headed back towards our place (whitby) ... rather a few strange looks at the lights .. but hey I like that bra .. and the pink glittery suff on Bruce looked great!!

Home now .. and back to the grindstone ... so hope the rest of the afternoon lives up to my ride!!

Congrats to WIMA for a well organised ride .. well done!

Was a great day well organised, except for the dickhead in a BMW who after stopping for the police officer at the give way decided to not give way to all the bikes,in particular me,got real close look at his bonnet from 300mm away, and although I was at walking speed,I'm pretty sure he read my lips, and the few behind us,wanker came to mind.

Was only the second time I've been sober in Wellyville, last time was in August and this time, must go into the city more often, good ride to do.

Yep litterelly on his bonnet, was up front when the ride started, probably first 15 or so riders, just as well the dickhead pulled out in front of me,not someone with an "L" plate on,or scooter as they don't have the ability to blast passed if needed, and my bike would've made a bigger dent in his bonnet.

It was a good day alright. To be quite honest traffic control could have been a bit better, someone should have been stationed at that junction where the BMW came though before the m/cs got there. The breif did state treat all uncontrolled intersections as per normal(there was no way that intersection was controlled)-ie obey the traffic rules and the Police officer did make some quite random passing manouvers at times around the bay area.

Agree with you there to an extent, but the cop at that intersection/roundabout did stop in front of the car, with his hand up to the cars at the give way, thus signalling to stop not give way,he then took off after 6-10 bikes passed to get to the next light intersection, possibly thought his mate was coming through from the back of the group, to control the intersection.
