:argh: Hi all. I am trying to swap an engine out of my mighty CBR and have been stumped by a bloody locking nut on the final engine-mounting bolt, that can only be undone with the use of a peg spanner. My wee Haynes manual suggests that one can be made out of a 22mm socket. I have attempted this, but between Madmal and myself we weren't able to manufacture one of accurate enough fit, to do the job. It just slides off when loosening force is applied. The angle of the dangle (depth of the recess it is in) is also such, that angry application of a punch to get it moving is difficult, and I am saving this as a last resort. Is there anyone in the Welly region who has a peg spanner that may fit? Plan D is throwing myself on the mercy of the bike shops tomorrow.

Cancel that desperate request peeps. While submitting the above post I realised that there isn't a problem that can't be solved with the use of a large hammer. The solution was the joining of the home made peg spanner with an impact driver and a large hammer.:banana:
