Hey guys,
My CRF fell over in the trailer today, radiator hit the side, and put i nice bend in it. It still holds, but looks real rough, and i doubt its going to cool very well as it is.

I have seen worse. I got mine fixed at a raditator shop. Ask your local dealer who they recomend get it fixed then buy some braces.
Mate but a branch through his and picked up a second hand one for $50.
If you do buy new buy a pair of after market ones that are larger in size. they will be cheaper, stonger and cool you bike better.

Try North Shore Radiators, down the alley directly opposite Foodtown's entry/exit in Barry's Point road. Fixed mine and did a damn good job for 30 bucks.

Hi, Craig here, ex Wild West Honda, now at Cycletreads. I have found out the hard way with radiator damage when I borrowed a near new 08 crf450 and wrecked. I punched off the pipe where the water house connects onto somehow and did it both shrouds. Had to replace with original new ones from Honda to put back to new condition at my cost of about $700... so lucky I was at a Honda shop, or would have been over a grand!
Lesson learnt. Buy Devol rad braces/guards which I did for my 08 crf250 and never had a problem with my many crashes.
Any never borrow some ones elses near new bike!

Did sell the repaired one eventually for only $150 and was over a hundy to repair and seal and check, so no real conselation
Places in Auck I know of to repair motorcycle radiators are Vercoe(mt wellington) and Kumeu Radiators. Most car radiator shops do it but will only goo up holes and not straighten or weld.
Wheel and Frame in Hamilton are also supposed to be good.
Your one, honda power, will be fine if you can bear the way it looks as long as it don't leak. I too have seen much worse that still function ok but don't always line up well with the plastics any more and will effect the re-sale value too.
New ones can be from $250 to $1000(when I checked last the crf450 ones were a good price of about $400) each side for original replacements, and not to sure of aftermarket ones available in NZ.
Try PWR radiators in Aussie for a price, or get it to me and I will use my one and only sure fire remedy.................BIG HAMMER! haha
